    Deepu Banerji is Director of Neurosurgery at Fortis Hospital, Mumbai, India.  After completing his neurosurgery training at the GB Pant Hospital, University of Delhi, India, he  joined NIMHANS Bengaluru as Assistant Professor.  Later he joined SGPGIMS Lucknow first as Associate Professor and became Professor of Neurosurgery in 2003.  Professor Banjeri has published over 70 articles in national and international journals and written approximately 20 book chapters. He has been the editor of Progress in Clinical Neurosciences, the official publication of the Neurological Society of India, from 2009 -2011. He is a member of the international editorial board of Surgical Neurology International.   A visiting fellow to various institutions in USA and Japan, he has been Sugita Fellow in 1994 at Nagoya Japan. Professor Banjeri  has been invited faculty  at various national and international conferences including conducting and being been part of the faculty in many operative and cadaveric workshops and symposiums.  Presently he is President of the Neurological Society of India and President Elect of Bombay Neurological Association and has been Past President of Skull Base Surgery Society of India.  His areas of special interest is skull base and endoscopic neurosurgery, neuro-oncology and spinal surgery.

    Professor Behari’s present position is at the Department of Neurosurgery, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India. He was previously, Head of Department at SGPGIMS, Lucknow 2013 - 2016. Professor Behari completed many Fellowships including the Sugita and Fujita International Fellowship in Japan, UICC Fellowship in Germany and Switzerland and Commonwealth Fellowship in the UK, Dartmouth Fellowship in the USA. He has been a visiting Professor in the Universities of Geneva, South Carolina, Nagoya, Lisbon and Fukushima. He sits on the Editorial Board of many Journals including Acta Neurochirurgica, Neurology India, Journal of Craniovertebral junction and spine, Journal of Paediatric Neurosciences, Indian Journal of Neurotrauma, International Journal of Neurology and Neurosurgery. He is an Editor of Neurology India. He is a Senior Examiner in 25 National Universities and has supervised nine PhD thesis. He is an Editor of five textbooks, 220 peer-reviewed publications and 83 chapters in books. He has been Course Faculty of many organisations including WFNS, CNS, ACNS, ISPN, AO Spine, CNS Webinar, Indo-Japanese meetings, Indo-German workshop and others. He has been an invited Lecturer 265 times both in India and Abroad. Professor Behari has won many Awards including best student of his MBBS degree, and awards for the best paper presented at many International Conferences. His abstract was included in the 2007 Year Book of Neurology and Neurosurgery. Professor Behari is a member of many Neurosurgical Organisations including NSI, Indian Association of Paediatric Neurosurgery, Skull Base Surgery, Neuro-oncology, Neurotrauma, National Academy of Science, National Academy of Medical Science, UP Neurological Society, AANS, CNS, UICC, ACNS, Association of British Scholars, Commonwealth Scholars in India, AO Spine International and Association of Spinal Surgeons of India. He has been on the National Executive Committee of the Dandy International Neurosurgical Society, NSI, AO Spine International, Indo-German micro neurosurgery skill training program and Indian Society for Cerebrovascular Surgery. Professor Behari’s areas of interest are Skull Base and Neuro-oncology, Complex Spinal and Craniovertebral Junction and Vascular Neurosurgery.

    Professor Goel is the Professor and Head of Department of Neurosurgery at King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai. He is an Honorary Consultant to the Governor of Maharashtra State. Professor Goel has published widely and has 550 peer- reviewed articles and has written two books, one on the Neurosurgery of Complex Tumors and Vascular Lesions and the other one the Craniovertebral Junction. He serves on the Editorial Board of nearly 30 Neurosurgical Journals. Professor Goel is the Chairman of the Editorial Board, Journal of Neurosurgery (Spine) and Section Editor of World Neurosurgery. He is the Editor of the Journal of Post-graduate Medicine India, Neurology India, Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Neurology and Neurosurgery, and the Journal of Craniovertebral Junction and Spine. He is the Deputy Editor of the Asian Journal of Neurosurgery and has been a Guest Editor of the Critical reviews in Neurosurgery (WFNS) and an Associate Editor of the Journal of Postgraduate Medicine, India. He also serves on the Editorial Board of numerous Journals both in India and abroad including the Journal of Korean Neurosurgery, Pakistan Neurosurgical Journal and the Journal of Neurosurgery. Professor Goel is a Founder Member and President of the Skull Base Society of India and a Life Member of NSI and the Society of Cerebrovascular Surgery of India. He is an Honorary member of the Japanese Neurosurgical Society and of the Mexican Academy of Neurosurgeons. He is the Founder President of the Maharashtra Chapter of Neurosurgeons and is the President of the Asia-Oceanian Skull Base Surgery Society. He is the Chairman of the Education Committee of the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgery and the President of the Indo-Japan society of Neurosurgery. He is a member of the Cervical Spine Research Society (World Academy of Neurosurgery). Professor Goel has won many Awards including the best student award in 1979, the Indian Council of Medical Research National Award, the Dr. Deepak Kothari Gold Medal for first position in M.Ch. Neurosurgery in1987, and the Eminent Medical Teacher, Dr BC Roy National award in 2003 at the hands of the President of India, in 2005.

    Professor Gupta is the Professor and Head of Department of Neurosurgery at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India. Professor Gupta obtained gold medal distinction during his MBBS degree and completed his Neurosurgical training at the Institute of Medical Sciences in Varanasi. He did post graduate work at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow and was then appointed Professor at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh. Professor Gupta is a Life member of the NSI, the Skull Base Society of India, the Neurological Surgeons’ Society of India, the Cerebrovascular Society of India and the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons. Professor Gupta has been Guest Faculty at various National and International Neurosurgery Conferences including NSI and the CNS of the USA. Professor Gupta is the President of the Skull Base Surgery Society of India, Honorary Secretary Association of Neurosurgeons of Northwest Zone, Executive Member of Neurological Society of India, Former Honorary Secretary of the Skull Base Surgery Society of India and the President of the Post Graduate Institute Neurological Society. Professor Gupta has organised various conferences including conferences for the Skull Base Surgery Society, NSI and the Indian Paediatric Neurosurgeons Society at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research. Professor Gupta has almost 150 publications and has written 17 chapters in books. Professor Gupta’s areas of interest includes Skull Base Surgery, Microvascular Surgery and Epilepsy Surgery.

    Professor Kale is the Professor and Head of Department of Neurosurgery at the All India Institute of Medical Services in New Delhi – the National Medical University of India and a tertiary referral centre. Professor Kale completed his medical studies in General Surgery in 1996 and went on to complete his Reconstructive Spinal Fellowship at the University of South Florida, USA in 2002. He is a member of many Societies and Associations including the Spinal Surgeons of India, the Neurological Society of India, Delhi, Neurological Society, Spinal Cord Society, and AOSpine Asia-Pacific Board. Professor Kale has been invited as Faculty for demonstrations including live surgery at the International Neurosurgery Clinic at GBPant Hospital, New Delhi, International Spinal Cord Conference, New Delhi, Spinal Congress Apollo Hospital, New Delhi and many AOSpine meetings. Professor Kale has been intimately associated with AOSpine and was the Chairman of the famous AOSpine Davos Course in 2007. He was Chairman of the AOSpine India until 2009, and was the Education Committee chairman of AOSpine in 2010. Professor Kale is widely published including five chapters in books. The titles of his book chapters are Complications of Posterior Fusion Operations, Pterional Approach to Sellar and Parasellar Tumors, Microneurosurgery of Craniopharyngiomas, Acute Trauma and Post-traumatic deformity of the Occipitocervical Junction and Cervical Spine fusion in Rheumatoid Arthritis. Professor Kale’s areas of interests are wide but in particular include Complex Spinal Surgery.

    Professor Nair is Chairman of Neurosurgery at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Science and Technology (SCTIMST), in Trivadrum India and has been the past Dean of SCTIMST. He is the President Elect of NSI and the Secretary of the World Federation of Skull Base Surgery. He is a Committee Member of the WFNS Skull Base Surgery and the Asian Oceanian Skull Base Surgery. He is the Past President of the Skull Base Surgery Society of India and a Past Committee Member WFNS Cerebrovascular and Therapy Committee. He is a Member of the International Editorial Review Board of Neurosurgery and on the Editorial Board of Asian Journal of Neurosurgery. Professor Nair is a former Executive Committee Member of the Indian Society of Cerebrovascular Surgery, NSI, and Skull Base Society of India. He has been a visiting Professor to Fujita Health University in Toyoko and numerous other Universities in Japan and USA. He is an Examiner in Neurosurgery in various Universities and has trained nearly a 100 Neurosurgeons. Professor Nair has published nearly 150 peer-reviewed articles, and has presented more than 200 papers in international meetings. He is an accomplished Surgeon in Posterior Fossa Surgery and has operated upon more than 800 Vestibular Schwannomas. His areas of interest are Cerebellopontine Angle Tumors, Petro-clival Meningiomas, Trigeminal Schwannomas, Clival Chordomas and Spinal Intramedullary Tumors.

    Dr Vedantam Rajshekhar is Professor of Neurosurgery at the Christian Medical College, Vellore, India, his alma mater for Neurosurgery. He has been training neurosurgical residents for 30 years. Dr Rajskekhar was the President of the Neurological Society of India for 2014 and Secretary from 2009 - 2011. He was also the President of the Indian Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery (2005-2007) and Indian Society of Neuro-Oncology (2014-2015). He has over 265 peer- reviewed publications with 6400 citations. He is on the Editorial Board of several journals including Neurology India, Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery and British Journal of Neurosurgery. He has been honoured by the Indian Council of Medical Research with the Basanti Devi Amirchand Award, one of their highest awards, in 2009 and the Yeddannapalli Award for Research by the Christian Medical College,Vellore in 1999. He is also Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences and Indian Academy of Sciences. He has delivered 12 Orations including the Inaugural Suraiya Khanum Public Lecture of University of Cape Town, South Africa in 2015, Professor B. Ramamurthi Oration of the Madras Institute of Neurology and the Inaugural Professor B Kakati Oration of Guwahati Medical College. Dr Rajshekhar has a wide and varied interest in Neurosurgery including cervical spine surgery, stereotactic surgery and radiosurgery, endoscopic pituitary surgery, spinal dysraphism, cysticercosis and tuberculous meningitis.

    Daljit Singh is Director Professor and Head of Neurosurgery at Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research and Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, India.  He has been a teaching profession for nearly 25 years and has extensive experience in neuroendoscopy and endovascular surgery, with a keen interest in academics, research and the development of advanced techniques.  Dr Singh has nearly authored nearly 150 publications, 20 book chapters, 2 books on his alma mater and has been co-editor on 2 neurosurgery books. He is a member of the editorial board of a number of national and international journals.  Dr Singh is member of several professional and administrative bodies in India, including currently the President of the Delhi Neurological Association and an executive member of NSI.  He has been the recipient of several awards, including the prestigious Dr B C Rai National Award for an eminent medical teacher in 2016.

    Dr. Singh is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Director of Central India Institute of Medical Sciences – Speciality Neuroscience Institute in Nagpur (Maharashtra). Dr. Singh holds three qualifications in the field of Surgical Neurology. Dr. Singh has been involved in many hands-on workshops in Tokyo, London, Chicago and Rotterdam. He was the Sugita International Scholar and worked with Professor Kenichiro Sugita at Nagoya. He has attended a large number of International Conferences as Faculty and has chaired many scientific sessions. He has attended more than 90 conferences at National level and 27 at International level. He has been a visiting Fellow to Departments of Neurosurgery at Matsumoto, Komaki, Nagoya in Japan, and the Neurosciences Institutes at Lyon, France, Sao Paulo, Brazil and Bologna, Italy. Dr. Singh holds two National patents for surgical devices and has published three new Neurosurgical techniques utilising these devices. Dr. Singh is a member of NSI, WFNS, Epilepsy Society of India, Neuro-otological Society of India, and Academy of Medical Sciences. Apart from his Neurosurgical feats, Dr. Singh is a Poet both in English and Hindi, a Philanthropist, and a Crusader for the promotion of the Hindi language. Dr. Singh is an accomplished stage and radio artist and is a well-known Hindi Poet, many of his poems have been published in renowned Hindi newspapers. He has also published two novels in English and is busy with two others. He regularly writes prose in English and is often invited as a role model Faculty for young medical students.

    Professor Somanna is a Professor of Neurosurgery at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences Bangalore, which was recently recognised by the Indian Government as an Institute of National Importance because of its Academic Excellence. He has been involved in the development of manpower, patient care and research, and works closely with Research fellows. Professor Somanna is an accomplished Surgeon and has devised a new approach to basilar artery aneurysms by Endonasal Endoscopic Transphenoidal clipping of aneurysms, the first of its kind in the world. He has also devised an Electrical trephine to preserve skull bone and has made a curved probe to assist in the treatment of fractures of the odontoid. He has performed more than a thousand Instrumented Spinal Fusions, more than a 100 anterior skull base Meningiomas, more than 300 Vestibular Schwannomas with functional preservation of the facial nerve, more than 500 cases of Neuroendoscopic surgeries including Endoscopic Spinal Fusions, more than 200 cases of complex Intracranial Aneurysms, and more than 300 Gammaknife Radiosurgeries. Professor Somanna has attended and organised many Neurosurgical Conferences, including Neurocon 2011, a Joint Meeting of NSI and Italian Society in Bangalore. Professor Somanna has more than a 100 publications. From a humanitarian point of view he attends many free medical check-up camps.
